Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 13, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how onano.app uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website, applications, and related services.

By continuing to use the Service, you agree to the use of strictly necessary cookies. Non-essential cookies are only used where you have provided consent.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help websites function, remember preferences, improve performance, and measure usage.

We may also use similar technologies such as local storage, pixels, and analytics tags.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

We use the following categories of cookies:

Strictly Necessary

These cookies are required for core functionality such as:

• login and authentication
• account security
• payment checkout flows
• saving editor sessions and preferences
• fraud prevention

These cookies cannot be disabled.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the Service is used, which pages people visit, and where they run into trouble, so we can improve it.

These cookies are only set after you accept analytics in the cookie banner. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, the Google Analytics script is never loaded and no analytics cookies are placed.

Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish visitors and sessions. They typically expire after up to two years. We do not enable Google advertising or ad personalisation features.

Google acts as our processor for this data and may process it outside the EU/EEA under appropriate safeguards.

How You Found Us

When you first arrive, we note the link that brought you: any campaign tags in the address (such as "ref" or "utm_source"), the name of the website that linked to us, and the page you landed on. We do not record the full address you came from, and this is not shared with advertisers.

This note is kept in your browser tab (session storage) and is erased when you close it. It is kept beyond that tab (local storage) only if you have accepted analytics, and it is removed if you withdraw that consent.

If you create an account, the note is saved with it, so we can see which posts and pages bring people to Onano. If you never create an account, it never leaves your browser.

Functional

These cookies remember settings and improve your experience, such as:

• preferred language
• UI preferences
• editor settings
• saved workspace behavior

Marketing

We currently do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.

If this changes, this Cookie Policy will be updated.

3. Legal Basis

Where required under GDPR and ePrivacy rules, we rely on your consent before placing non-essential cookies.

Strictly necessary cookies are used based on our legitimate interest in providing a secure and functioning Service.

4. Managing Cookies

Analytics cookies are placed only if you accept them in our cookie banner. Use the "Change cookie preferences" button at the bottom of this page to bring the banner back and change your choice at any time.

If you withdraw consent, we stop sending data to Google Analytics immediately; you can also clear the cookies already set through your browser settings.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings as well. Disabling certain cookies may affect parts of the Service.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies may be placed by trusted third-party providers that help us operate the Service, including:

• Google Analytics, where you have accepted analytics cookies
• Google / YouTube authentication and connected account services
• Meta / Instagram authentication and connected account services
• TikTok authentication and connected account services
• payment and checkout providers
• infrastructure and performance monitoring providers

These providers process data under their own privacy terms and applicable safeguards.

6. Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect product, legal, or provider changes.

The latest version will always be available at /cookies.
